Brownie Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until combined.
- 3
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- 4
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- 5
Mix Dry and Wet Ingredients
Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until just combined. If desired, fold in the chocolate chips.
- 6
Bake the Brownies
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 7
Cool the Brownies
Remove from oven and let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
