1. Prepare the Cabbage
Remove any damaged outer leaves of the cabbage. Rinse the cabbage under cold water and cut it into quarters, removing the core.
2. Steam the Cabbage
Place the cabbage quarters in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam for about 8-10 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender.
3. Season the Cabbage
Once cooked, carefully remove the cabbage from the steamer and place it in a serving dish. Add salt and pepper to taste, and dot with butter.
4. Serve
