Fried Fish Ingredients
Method
Fried Fish Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Batter
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Gradually whisk in the cold water until the batter is smooth and well combined.
- 2
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 3
Coat the Fish
Dip each fish fillet into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated.
- 4
Fry the Fish
Carefully place the battered fish fillets into the hot oil, cooking in batches if necessary. Fry for about 4-5 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy.
- 5
Drain and Serve
Once cooked, remove the fish from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
