Method
Chips Preparation
- 1
Cutting the Tortillas
Stack the corn tortillas and cut them into 6 equal wedges to create triangular chips.
- 2
Heating the Oil
In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 3
Frying the Chips
Carefully add the tortilla wedges in batches to the hot oil. Fry them until they are golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
- 4
Draining the Chips
Using a slotted spoon, remove the chips and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Sprinkle with salt while they are still hot.

- 6

Chilling the Salsa
Let the salsa sit for at least 15 minutes at room temperature to allow the flavors to meld.
