Bow-Tie Pasta

Marinara Sauce

Method

Grilled Shrimp

  1. 1

    Prepare Marinade

In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Marinate Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Let the shrimp marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  3. 3

    Heat Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  4. 4

    Grill Shrimp

Skewer the marinated shrimp and grill for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until shrimp are opaque and cooked through.

Bow-Tie Pasta

  1. 5

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring 4 quarts of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the water.

  2. 6

    Cook Pasta

Add the bow-tie pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, typically about 10-12 minutes, until al dente.

  3. 7

    Drain Pasta

Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside.

Marinara Sauce

  1. 8

    Sauté Onions

In a saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.

  2. 9

    Add Garlic

Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.

  3. 10

    Combine Ingredients

Pour in the canned crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

  4. 11

    Simmer Sauce

Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
