Cooking Instructions
1. Prepare the Roasted Garlic
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the top off the head of garlic, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for about 30-35 minutes until soft.
2. Make the Meatloaf Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the ground wagyu beef, ground pork, roasted garlic (squeezed out of the skin), breadcrumbs, eggs, diced onion, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
3. Form the Meatloaf
Transfer the mixture into a loaf pan. Shape it into a loaf and smooth the top.
4. Prepare the Glaze
In a small bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Spread this glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
5. Bake the Meatloaf
Bake in the preheated oven for about 60-75 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
6. Prepare the Mashed Potatoes
While the meatloaf is baking, place the peeled and diced potatoes in a pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and mash with cream and butter.
