Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps the steak cook more evenly.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub both sides of the steak with olive oil, then season generously with salt and black pepper. Make sure to coat it evenly.

  3. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet or grill pan, heat over medium-high heat until hot. You can test the temperature by splashing a drop of water on the pan; it should sizzle.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Add the seasoned ribeye to the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it, then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Add Flavor

In the last minute of cooking, add garlic cloves and fresh rosemary to the pan to infuse flavor. Baste the steak with the pan juices using a spoon.

  6. 6

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  7. 7

    Serve

Slice the steak against the grain and serve warm, optionally drizzled with pan juices.
