Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the steak with olive oil, then generously season both sides with kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and rosemary.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over high heat. If using a skillet, cast iron works best for a good sear.

  4. 4

    Sear the Steak

Once hot, place the ribeye steak on the grill or skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it.

  5. 5

    Flip and Add Butter

Flip the steak and add butter to the skillet or grill. Cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, basting the steak with the melting butter for added flavor.

  6. 6

    Check Doneness

Check the internal temperature. For medium-rare, it should read 130-135°F (54-57°C). Cook longer if needed for desired doneness.

  7. 7

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from heat and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  8. 8

    Serve

Slice against the grain and serve with your favorite sides.
