Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Marinate the Wagyu

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Add the Wagyu flatiron steak, ensuring it is fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

  2. 2

    Prepare Bone Marrow Fried Rice

Cook rice according to package instructions and let it cool. In a pan, melt the bone marrow over medium heat. Add the cooked rice, stirring frequently to combine and heat through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. 3

    Make Cucumber Pineapple Salad

In a bowl, combine sliced cucumber and diced pineapple. Toss gently and set aside.

  4. 4

    Cook the Wagyu

Remove the Wagyu from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Grill or pan-sear the steak over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

  5. 5

    Serve the Dish

On a plate, serve a portion of bone marrow fried rice topped with slices of Wagyu steak. Garnish with cucumber pineapple salad and sprinkle with nori komi furikake and sesame seeds. Fry the eggs and place on top or serve alongside as desired.
