Spiedini Preparation

Prepare Skewers
Soak the wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning while grilling.

Prepare the Spiedini
In a bowl, combine shrimp, sliced Italian sausage, chopped bell peppers, sliced zucchini, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure all ingredients are coated with oil and seasoning.

Skewer Ingredients
Thread the marinated shrimp, sausage, bell peppers, and zucchini onto the soaked skewers alternately to create colorful spiedini.

Add Spices
Stir in crushed red pepper flakes, canned crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Finish with Herbs
Remove from heat and stir in chopped fresh basil. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
Fettuccine Preparation

Cook Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

Drain the cooked fettuccine and set aside.

On a large plate, serve a portion of fettuccine topped with diablo sauce. Place grilled spiedini on top and garnish with additional fresh basil if desired.
