Preparation

Shrimp Preparation

1. Boil the Shrimp

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the halved lemon and Old Bay seasoning to the boiling water.

2. Cook the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the boiling water. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through. Do not overcook.

3. Chill the Shrimp

Remove the shrimp from the pot and immediately transfer them to a bowl filled with ice water. Let them sit in the ice water for a few minutes to stop the cooking process.

Once chilled, drain the shrimp and pat them dry with paper towels.

Cocktail Sauce Preparation

5. Mix the Sauce

In a medium bowl, combine the ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.

6. Taste and Adjust

Taste the cocktail sauce and adjust seasoning with more horseradish or salt if desired.

Garnish Preparation

7. Prepare the Fruits

Rinse the strawberries and grapes under cold water. Hull and halve the strawberries and halve the grapes.

Serving

8. Arrange and Serve

On a serving platter, arrange the chilled shrimp with the bowl of cocktail sauce in the center. Garnish with the halved strawberries and grapes around the shrimp. Serve immediately.
