    Prepare the Tomatoes

    Wash the Sicilian tomatoes thoroughly. Cut them into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.

    Chop the Onion

    Peel and thinly slice the red onion. Add the sliced onion to the bowl with the tomatoes.

    Add Fresh Basil

    Rinse the fresh basil leaves, pat them dry with a paper towel, and roughly chop them. Add the chopped basil to the mixing bowl.

Mixing and Dressing

    Season the Mixture

    Sprinkle the dried oregano, salt, and black pepper over the tomato, onion, and basil mixture.

    Add Oil and Vinegar

    Drizzle the olive oil and red wine vinegar over the ingredients in the bowl.

    Gently toss all the ingredients together until they are well combined and evenly coated with the dressing.
