Method

Cooking Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring water to a boil, adding a pinch of salt.

  2. 2

    Cook Fettuccine

Add the fettuccine to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually 8-10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Drain Pasta

Once cooked, drain the fettuccine in a colander and set aside.

Making Alfredo Sauce

  1. 4

    Melt Butter

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.

  2. 5

    Add Garlic

Add minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, but not browned.

  3. 6

    Incorporate Heavy Cream

Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  4. 7

    Add Cheese and Seasoning

Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Continue to stir until the cheese is melted and fully incorporated into the sauce.

Combining Pasta and Sauce

  1. 8

    Combine

Add the drained fettuccine to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss gently to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.

  2. 9

    Garnish

Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving for added flavor and color.
