Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt and the pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Maggie's Sugo Preparation

  1. 2

    Make the Sugo

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for about 5 minutes until translucent. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

  2. 3

    Add the Tomatoes and Seasoning

Add the crushed tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine. Let the sauce simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.

  3. 4

    Add Fresh Parsley

Stir in the chopped fresh parsley just before removing the sauce from the heat.

Assembly and Baking

  1. 5

    Combine Pasta and Sugo

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta and Maggie's sugo. Mix until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.

  2. 6

    Transfer to Baking Dish

Transfer the pasta mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Spread it evenly.

  3. 7

    Top with Provel Cheese

Sprinkle the shredded Provel cheese evenly over the top of the pasta.

  4. 8

    Bake the Dish

Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  5. 9

    Serve

Remove the baked pasta from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious baked pasta!
