Tilapia Fillet

Method

Preparing the Tilapia

  1. 1

    Marinate the Tilapia

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Coat the Tilapia

Add the tilapia fillets to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Let them marinate for at least 20 minutes.

Making the Salsa de Piña

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the black beans, diced pineapple, chopped cilantro, diced red onion, diced red bell pepper, minced jalapeños, lime juice, and salt.

  2. 4

    Mix Well

Stir all the ingredients together until well mixed. Set aside to let the flavors meld.

Grilling the Tilapia

  1. 5

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. 6

    Grill the Tilapia

Place the marinated tilapia fillets on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Place each grilled tilapia fillet on a plate and top generously with the salsa de piña.

  2. 8

    Garnish

Optionally, garnish with additional cilantro or lime wedges before serving.
