Method

Fajitas Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Slice the chicken or steak into thin strips. Chop the bacon into small pieces. Slice the onion and bell peppers into strips. Clean and slice the mushrooms.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the bacon and cook until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.

  3. 3

    Cook the Chicken or Steak

In the same skillet, add olive oil. Season the chicken or steak with fajita seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Cook over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add Vegetables

Add the onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms to the skillet. Stir and cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Combine with Bacon

Add the cooked bacon back into the skillet and mix well. Sprinkle the pepper jack cheese on top and cover the skillet until the cheese melts.

Garlic Butter Sauce Preparation

  1. 6

    Make the Garlic Butter Sauce

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in chopped parsley and remove from heat.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve the Fajitas

Spoon the smothered fajita mixture onto warm tortillas. Drizzle with garlic butter sauce before serving.
