In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until it is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

Season the Meat
Sprinkle the taco seasoning, salt, and black pepper over the beef mixture. Stir to combine.

Add Tomato Sauce
Pour in the tomato sauce and mix well. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Prepare Taco Shells
Warm the soft taco shells in a microwave for 30 seconds or toast the crispy taco shells in the oven according to package instructions.

Fill Tacos
Spoon the seasoned beef mixture evenly into each taco shell.

Top each taco with shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, a dollop of sour cream, and chopped cilantro.
