Cooking Directions
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat. Add spices (cumin, chili powder, garlic powder) and mix well. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
- 2
Assemble the Chimichangas
Lay a flour tortilla on a flat surface. Place a portion of the beef mixture in the center, sprinkle with shredded cheese, fold in the sides, and roll tightly to enclose the filling. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
- 3
Fry the Chimichangas
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Carefully place the rolled chimichangas seam-side down into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Serve
Top each chimichanga with shredded lettuce, salsa, guacamole, and sour cream before serving.
