Oysters Rockefeller Ingredients

Method

Directions for Oysters Rockefeller

  1. 1

    Prepare the Oysters

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Carefully shuck the oysters and place them on a baking sheet, keeping them in their shells.

  2. 2

    Make the Filling

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the shallots and garlic, and sauté until soft. Add the spinach and cook until wilted. Stir in the parsley and anise liqueur, and season with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

    Combine with Breadcrumbs

Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the bread crumbs and half of the Parmesan cheese until well combined.

  4. 4

    Fill the Oysters

Spoon the filling onto each oyster, covering them generously. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top.

  5. 5

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the oysters are cooked through.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
