Preparation
Prepare the Glass
Rub the rim of a chilled margarita glass with a lime wedge and dip into coarse salt to coat the rim.
Mix the Ingredients
In a shaker filled with ice, combine the Cognac, triple sec, and fresh lime juice. Shake well until chilled.
Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into the prepared margarita glass. Optionally, add ice if desired.
Garnish
Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.
