For the Chicken Wings

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken Wings

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them in a large bowl.

  2. 2

    Make the Batter

In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Gradually add water to the mixture and whisk until smooth.

  3. 3

    Coat the Wings

Dip each chicken wing into the batter, making sure they are evenly coated. Allow excess batter to drip off.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Wings

Carefully add the battered chicken wings to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the crispy chicken wings hot with a side of coleslaw, celery, or carrots.
