1. Prepare the Egg Salad
Hard boil the eggs by placing them in a pot of water and bringing it to a boil. Once boiling, cover and remove from heat, letting them sit for 10-12 minutes. Cool, peel, and chop the eggs.
2. Make the Egg Salad Mixture
In a bowl, combine the chopped eggs, mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until creamy and set aside.
3. Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the smoked maple bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and let drain on paper towels.
4. Assemble the Sandwich
On a slice of seeded rye bread, layer the sliced ham, egg salad, crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, and lettuce. Top with another slice of rye bread.
5. Serve
Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately.
