Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper. Let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Sear the Steak

Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add the steaks to the pan.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Cook the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on one side until a crust forms. Flip the steaks and add the garlic cloves and rosemary to the pan. Cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.

Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 5

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into quarters. Place them in a large pot and cover with water. Add a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 6

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
