Method

Cooking Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring 4 quarts of salted water to a boil.

  2. 2

    Cook Pasta

Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Drain Pasta

Once cooked, reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest. Set aside the pasta.

Cooking Vegetables

  1. 4

    Heat Olive Oil

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil.

  2. 5

    Sauté Garlic and Vegetables

Once the oil is hot, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Then add bell peppers, zucchini, carrot, broccoli, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.

  3. 6

    Add Cherry Tomatoes

Stir in the halved cherry tomatoes and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 7

    Combine Pasta and Vegetables

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables.

  2. 8

    Adjust Consistency

Pour in reserved pasta water a little at a time until the desired consistency is achieved.

  3. 9

    Season the Dish

Season with black pepper, add grated Parmesan cheese, and mix well. Stir in chopped fresh basil just before serving.

Serving

  1. 10

    Plate and Serve

Serve the pasta primavera hot, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and basil if desired.
