Ingredients for Tandoori Lamb Seekh Kebab

Method

Directions to Prepare Tandoori Lamb Seekh Kebab

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a large mixing bowl, combine the lamb mince, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green chili, and chopped fresh coriander leaves.

  2. 2

    Add Spices

Add ground cumin, ground coriander, garam masala, red chili powder, and salt to the bowl. Mix thoroughly until the spices are evenly distributed.

  3. 3

    Incorporate Yogurt and Lemon Juice

Stir in the yogurt and lemon juice, mixing well until all ingredients are well combined. This will help tenderize the meat and add flavor.

  4. 4

    Form Kebabs

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the mixture marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (or overnight for better flavor). Once marinated, take the mixture out and shape it onto the soaked skewers, forming elongated kebabs.

  5. 5

    Preheat the Tandoor

Preheat your tandoor or grill to a high temperature (approximately 200-250°C or 400-475°F). If using an oven, set it to broil.

  6. 6

    Cook the Kebabs

Carefully place the skewered kebabs in the tandoor or on the grill. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and have a nice char on the outside.

  7. 7

    Serve

Once cooked, remove the kebabs from the skewers and serve hot with mint chutney, sliced onions, and lemon wedges.
