Chicken Wings

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a large bowl, combine the plain yogurt, lemon juice, tandoori masala, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and cayenne pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly blended.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Wings

Add the chicken wings to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best flavor.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Tandoor

If using a traditional tandoor oven, preheat it according to the manufacturer's instructions, ensuring it reaches a high temperature suitable for grilling.

  2. 4

    Skewer the Wings

Remove the marinated chicken wings from the refrigerator. If using skewers, thread the wings onto metal or soaked wooden skewers, leaving some space between each wing for even cooking.

  3. 5

    Cook the Wings

Place the skewered wings in the preheated tandoor. Cook for about 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally, until the wings are cooked through and have a nice charred exterior.

  4. 6

    Finish and Garnish

Once cooked, remove the wings from the tandoor. Drizzle with vegetable oil, and garnish with chopped fresh cilantro before serving.
