Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Cut the paneer into cubes. If using frozen peas, thaw them in warm water. Finely chop the onion and puree the tomatoes.

Cooking

  1. 2

    Sauté the Onions

Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.

  2. 3

    Add Ginger-Garlic Paste and Spices

Add the ginger-garlic paste and slit green chili to the pan. Sauté for another minute. Then, add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Cook for 2 minutes until the spices are fragrant.

  3. 4

    Add Tomato Puree

Pour in the tomato puree and mix well. Let it cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the oil separates from the mixture.

  4. 5

    Add Peas and Paneer

Stir in the green peas and paneer cubes. Add salt to taste and mix gently. Cover the pan and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

  5. 6

    Finish with Garam Masala

Sprinkle garam masala over the curry and mix well. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.

  6. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, garnish with fresh coriander leaves, and serve hot with rice or naan.
