Preparation

  1. 1

Chop the onions, green bell pepper, and prepare the tomato puree. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Spice Mix

In a small bowl, combine cumin seeds, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Mix well.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a kadai or deep pan, heat the vegetable or mustard oil over medium heat.

Add the finely chopped onions to the hot oil and sauté until they turn golden brown.

  3. 5

Let the chicken simmer on low heat for about 15-20 minutes or until fully cooked through and tender.

  8. 10

    Garnish and Serve

Once cooked, garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot with naan or rice.
