Fish Marinade

Frying

Method

Fish Marinade

  1. 1

    Marinate the Fish

In a large bowl, combine the fish fillets, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and coriander powder. Mix well to coat the fish evenly. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Batter Preparation

  1. 2

    Prepare the Batter

In another bowl, mix the besan, rice flour, baking powder, water, salt, and black pepper powder. Whisk until you have a smooth batter with a thick consistency. Adjust the water if necessary.

Frying

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat the oil over medium heat until hot. You can test the oil by dropping a small amount of batter into it; it should sizzle immediately.

  2. 4

    Coat and Fry the Fish

Take the marinated fish pieces and dip them into the batter, ensuring they are well coated. Carefully drop the battered fish into the hot oil. Fry in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan.

  3. 5

    Cooking Time

Fry the fish pakoras for about 4-5 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
