Brisket Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brisket

Trim excess fat from the brisket and pat it dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Make the Rub

In a bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.

  3. 3

    Apply the Rub

Rub the spice mixture evenly over the brisket, ensuring it's well coated.

  4. 4

    Marinate

Wrap the brisket in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Cooking Liquid

In a bowl, mix beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, and liquid smoke.

  6. 6

    Cook the Brisket

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Place the brisket in a roasting pan and pour the cooking liquid over it. Cover tightly with aluminum foil.

  7. 7

    Bake

Bake the brisket in the preheated oven for approximately 4-5 hours, or until it's tender and easily shreds with a fork.

  8. 8

    Rest and Slice

Remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing against the grain.
