Pulled Pork Ingredients

Method

Pulled Pork Directions

1

Prepare the Dry Rub

In a small bowl, combine paprika, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.

2

Season the Pork

Rub the dry spice mixture all over the pork shoulder, ensuring it’s well coated. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes, or preferably overnight in the refrigerator.

3

Cook the Pork

Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Pour apple cider vinegar and chicken broth over the pork.

4

Slow Cook

Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the pork is tender and shreds easily with a fork.

5

Shred the Pork

Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes. Use two forks to shred the pork into bite-sized pieces.

6

Add BBQ Sauce

Mix the shredded pork with BBQ sauce, adding more or less to taste.

7

Serve

Serve warm on buns or with your favorite sides.
