Main Ingredients

Russian Dressing

French Fries

Method

Prepare the Russian Dressing

  1. 1

    Make Russian Dressing

In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are fully incorporated. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Cook the French Fries

  1. 2

    Prepare French Fries

Preheat the oven or air fryer according to the package instructions for the frozen French fries. Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet or in the air fryer basket. Bake or air fry according to the package directions until golden and crispy. Season with salt to taste.

Assemble the Turkey Reuben

  1. 3

    Assemble and Grill

Lay 2 slices of rye bread on a clean surface. Layer 4 oz of turkey slices, 1/2 cup of sauerkraut, and 2 slices of Swiss cheese on one slice of bread. Top with the second slice of bread. Spread 1/2 tablespoon of butter on the outer side of each sandwich.

  2. 4

    Grill the Sandwich

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet, butter side down. Grill for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Carefully flip the sandwich, add the remaining butter to the skillet, and grill the other side for another 4-5 minutes until the cheese melts and the bread is crispy.

Serve

  1. 5

    Plate the Dish

Slice the grilled Turkey Reuben in half and serve with a side of hot French fries and a small dish of the Russian dressing for dipping.
