Brewing Instructions
1. Grind the Coffee Beans
Using a coffee grinder, grind the coffee beans to a medium-coarse consistency. This will help in extracting the flavors effectively during brewing.
2. Boil the Water
In a kettle, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and let it sit for about 30 seconds to reach the optimal brewing temperature of around 200°F (93°C).
3. Combine Coffee and Water
In a French press or coffee maker, add the ground coffee beans. Pour the hot water over the coffee grounds evenly, ensuring all the grounds are saturated.
4. Steep the Coffee
Let the coffee steep for about 4 minutes. This allows the flavors to infuse properly. If using a French press, do not press down yet.
5. Press or Filter the Coffee
If using a French press, press down the plunger slowly to separate the grounds from the brewed coffee. If using a coffee maker, the filtering will be done automatically.
6. Add Sugar and Milk
Pour the brewed coffee into cups. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar to taste, stirring well until dissolved. Then, add 1/2 cup of milk to each cup for a creamier texture.
7. Add Vanilla Extract
Finally, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to each cup for a hint of flavor. Stir well to combine.
8. Serve and Enjoy
Serve the coffee hot, and enjoy your freshly brewed cup of coffee!
