1. Juicing the Lemons

Roll the lemons on a countertop to soften them. Cut each lemon in half and use a citrus juicer to extract the juice. You should have about 1 cup of lemon juice.

2. Making the Sugar Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let cool.

3. Combining Ingredients

In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, cooled sugar syrup, and the remaining 3 cups of water. Stir well to mix.
