Chicken Marinade
Method
Marinating the Chicken
- 1
Prepare Marinade
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, minced ginger, and sesame oil. Whisk until the brown sugar is fully dissolved.
- 2
Marinate Chicken
Place the chicken tenders in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for best results.
Cooking the Chicken
- 3
Prepare Cornstarch Slurry
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Set aside.
- 4
Cook Chicken
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade (reserve marinade) and add to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- 5
Add Marinade and Thicken
Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet with the cooked chicken. Bring to a simmer, then add the cornstarch slurry while stirring continuously. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- 6
Garnish and Serve
Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
