Method
Omelet Directions
Prepare the Eggs
In a bowl, crack 3 large eggs and whisk them together. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Cook the Omelet
In a non-stick skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Pour the whisked eggs into the skillet and let them cook undisturbed until the edges begin to set.
Add Fillings
If desired, sprinkle cheese and vegetables over one half of the omelet. Once the eggs are mostly set, carefully fold the omelet in half over the fillings.
Finish Cooking
Allow the omelet to cook for an additional minute until the cheese melts and the eggs are fully cooked. Slide the omelet onto a plate.
Home Fries Directions
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into small cubes.
Cook the Home Fries
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the cubed potatoes and season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook until golden brown and crispy, about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Toast Directions
Toast the Bread
In a toaster or on a skillet, toast 2 slices of bread to your desired level of crispness. Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on the warm toast.
Grits Directions
Finish Grits
Stir in 1 tablespoon of butter until melted and creamy. Serve warm alongside the omelet.
