Method

Prepare the Ingredients

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove from skillet and let cool, then crumble into small pieces.

  2. 2

    Cook the Sausage

In the same skillet, add the ground sausage. Cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add diced onion, bell pepper, and sliced mushrooms. Sauté over medium heat until the vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Egg Mixture

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until well combined and frothy.

Cook the Omelet

  1. 5

    Heat the Skillet

Using the same skillet, add a little oil or butter and heat over medium-low heat.

  2. 6

    Add the Egg Mixture

Pour the egg mixture into the skillet, tilting the pan to ensure even coverage. Allow it to cook for a few minutes until the edges start to set.

  3. 7

    Add Fillings

Once the edges are set, sprinkle the cooked bacon, sausage, sautéed vegetables, and shredded cheddar cheese evenly over half of the omelet.

  4. 8

    Fold the Omelet

Using a spatula, carefully fold the other half of the omelet over the filling. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the omelet is cooked through.

  5. 9

    Serve

Slide the omelet onto a plate, cut in half if desired, and serve immediately.
