Dry Ingredients

Wet Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar. Whisk together until well blended.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, mix the warm water and olive oil together until combined.

Dough Formation

  1. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the wet mixture. Stir with a wooden spoon or spatula until a rough dough forms.

  2. 4

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic. If the dough is sticky, sprinkle a little more flour as needed.

First Rise

  1. 5

    Let Dough Rise

Place the kneaded dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.

Shaping and Second Rise

  1. 6

    Shape the Rolls

Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape each piece into a round ball. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  2. 7

    Second Rise

Cover the shaped rolls with a clean kitchen towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

Baking

  1. 8

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. 9

    Bake the Rolls

Once the rolls have risen, place them in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. The rolls should sound hollow when tapped on the bottom.

Cooling

  1. 10

    Cool the Rolls

Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes before serving.
