Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Bread
Choose your preferred bread. If opting for a hard roll, slice it in half. If you prefer toast, toast the slice until golden brown.
Cooking the Eggs
- 2
Cook the Eggs
In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, crack the eggs into the pan. Sprinkle salt and black pepper on top. Cook until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny, about 3-4 minutes. For firmer yolks, cook longer as desired.
Heating the Ham
- 3
Heat the Ham
In the same skillet, add the slices of ham and cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side until heated through and slightly crispy.
Assembly
- 4
Assemble the Sandwich
On the bottom half of the hard roll or the toasted slice, layer the cooked ham first, followed by the cooked eggs. If using, add a slice of cheese, lettuce, and tomato before placing the top half of the roll or toast.
