Chicken Salad Preparation

Mix Chicken Salad
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken breast, mayonnaise, finely chopped celery, chopped green onions, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.

Stir all ingredients together until evenly mixed. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Set aside.
French Fries Preparation

Prepare French Fries
Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the frozen French fries package.

Spread the frozen French fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake according to package instructions until golden and crispy.

Remove from oven and sprinkle with salt to taste.
Sandwich Assembly and Cooking

Butter the Bread
Spread butter on one side of each slice of rye bread.

Assemble the Sandwich
Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, on the skillet. Top each with a generous portion of the chicken salad, a slice of tomato, and a slice of Swiss cheese.

Cook the First Side
Cover with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.

Carefully flip the sandwiches and cook the other side until golden and the cheese has melted, about another 3-4 minutes.

Remove the sandwiches from the skillet, slice in half, and serve immediately with the French fries on the side.
