Method

Preparation

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it is hot enough for baking.

2

Prepare the Baking Pan

Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal of brownies.

Mixing Ingredients

3

Combine Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder until well mixed.

4

Melt Butter

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the unsalted butter until fully liquid. Let it cool slightly.

5

Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

6

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined; do not over-mix.

7

Add Optional Ingredients

If desired, fold in the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts until evenly distributed.

Baking

8

Pour and Spread

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly using a spatula.

9

Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

10

Cool

Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serving

11

Cut and Serve

Once cooled, cut the brownies into squares and serve them as a delicious treat.
