Prepare the Salad Base
Wash and Chop Romaine
Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water. Remove any damaged outer leaves. Pat dry with a towel and chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces.
Grate the Parmesan Cheese
Using a grater, grate the Parmesan cheese into a bowl and set aside.
Make the Croutons
Prepare the Bread
Cut the slices of bread into small cubes.
Bake the Croutons
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread the seasoned bread cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crunchy. Stir halfway through to ensure even cooking.
Prepare the Caesar Dressing
Combine Dressing Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and black pepper.
Mix Until Smooth
Whisk the ingredients together until the dressing is smooth and well blended. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
Assemble the Salad
Combine All Ingredients
In a large salad bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, croutons, and grated Parmesan cheese.
Add Dressing
Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the salad and toss gently until all ingredients are well coated.
Serve
