Method

Base Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Coffee

Brew 240 ml of strong espresso coffee and let it cool to room temperature. If desired, mix in 60 ml of coffee liqueur for added flavor.

  2. 2

    Soak the Ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger cookie into the cooled espresso, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy. Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of serving glasses or a small dish.

Cream Mixture Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Cream

In a mixing bowl, combine 250 g of mascarpone cheese, 200 ml of heavy cream, 50 g of granulated sugar, 1 tsp of vanilla extract, and 2 egg yolks. Whip the mixture until smooth and creamy.

  2. 4

    Layer the Cream

Spoon half of the cream mixture over the layer of soaked ladyfingers, spreading it evenly.

Assembly and Topping

  1. 5

    Repeat the Layers

Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers over the cream mixture, followed by the remaining cream mixture. Smooth the top with a spatula.

  2. 6

    Add the Topping

Sift 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder over the top of the final cream layer. Garnish with 30 g of dark chocolate shavings.

Chill and Serve

  1. 7

    Chill

Cover the serving glasses or dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.

  2. 8

    Serve

Once chilled, serve the mini tiramisu as a delightful dessert.
