Cook the Steel Cut Oats
In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. Stir in steel cut oats, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are tender. Add milk and brown sugar, stirring to combine, and cook for another 5 minutes.

Make the Pecan Granola
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, combine rolled oats, chopped pecans, honey, melted coconut oil, cinnamon, and salt. Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown. Let it cool before serving.

Assemble the Dish
In a serving bowl, spoon the cooked steel cut oats. Top with homemade pecan granola, fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, and banana), and serve with your choice of toast on the side.
