Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Jalapenos

Slice the jalapenos in half and remove the seeds for less heat, if desired. Fill each half with cream cheese.

  2. 2

    Fry the Jalapenos

In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Dip each cream cheese-stuffed jalapeno in buttermilk, then coat with flour. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat and fry the jalapenos until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Cook the Burger Patties

Season the ground beef with black pepper and garlic powder. Form into two patties. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach the desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Melt the Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Pepper Jack cheese on each patty to melt.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Place the cooked burger patty on the bottom half of the bun. Top with the fried jalapenos and cover with the top half of the bun. Serve immediately.
