Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the milk and cream cheese, stirring until smooth. Gradually add the shredded cheddar cheese, stirring continuously until melted and creamy.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Add the cooked macaroni, sliced jalapenos, chipotle-citrus BBQ sauce, salt, and black pepper to the cheese sauce. Stir until everything is evenly coated.

  4. 4

    Optional Topping

If using, sprinkle bread crumbs over the top of the mac and cheese.

  5. 5

    Bake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown on top.

  6. 6

Remove from oven, let cool for a few minutes, and serve hot.
