House Made Marinara Sauce

Preparation

Prepare the Chicken Tikka

1. Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, combine diced chicken with tikka masala sauce, salt, and olive oil. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

2. Cook the Chicken

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until fully cooked, about 10-12 minutes. Set aside.

Make the Marinara Sauce

3. Sauté Onion and Garlic

In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic; sauté until translucent.

4. Simmer the Sauce

Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, black pepper, and basil. Simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Assemble the Dish

5. Layer Ingredients

In a baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce. Top with cooked chicken tikka, followed by shredded mozzarella, bell peppers, and jalapenos.

6. Bake

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

7. Garnish and Serve

Remove from the oven, drizzle with mint yogurt, and sprinkle fresh cilantro on top before serving.
