Cooking the Beef

Brown the Ground Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.

Add Taco Seasoning
Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the browned beef, and stir in 1/4 cup of water. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
Assembling the Salad

Prepare the Lettuce
While the beef is cooking, rinse the iceberg lettuce under cold water. Pat dry with paper towels, then chop or tear into bite-sized pieces. Place the lettuce in a large salad bowl.

Add Tortilla Chips
Sprinkle the crushed tortilla chips over the salad for added crunch.
