Method
Burger Preparation
Cook the Beef
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
Add Chili
Once the beef is browned, drain any excess fat. Stir in the chili and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes until heated through.
Prepare Buns
While the chili is simmering, preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Split the Wheat Montana potato buns in half and grill them cut side down for about 2-3 minutes until they are golden brown.
Assemble Burger
Place each grilled bun half on a plate. Spoon the chili mixture generously over each bun half. Top with shredded Cheddar cheese and diced red onion.
Fries Preparation
Prepare the Oil
In a deep skillet or fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Cook the Fries
Carefully add the frozen crinkle cut fries to the hot oil in batches to avoid crowding. Fry for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Drain and Season
Using a slotted spoon, remove the fries and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Sprinkle with salt while still hot.
