Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the marinated steaks on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side for medium-rare or until desired doneness is reached. Sprinkle fresh rosemary on top while grilling.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.

Making the French Fries

  1. 4

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 5

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain and pat dry the soaked potatoes. Fry them in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 8

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
